Which foundation for oily skin?

When we have the oily skin, the face powder must be chosen accurately. Indeed, since most foundations are rather thick and oily, they could make the situation worse by making the skin shine.

The idea? Opt instead for a mattifying powder, and avoid foundations that are too covering and do not allow the skin to breathe. There are compact powders and loose powders: both are suitable for oily skin. The loose powder will offer a more natural look while the compact powder can mark dry areas slightly more.

There are also foundations specifically designed for oily skin prone to imperfections, which are mattifying and non-comedogenic : it is however recommended to apply a layer of powder before applying foundation, in order to better control excess sebum.

Which cream for oily skin?

THE oily skin need to be perfectly hydrated! Favor light textures such as gels, fluid lotions, or even emulsions rather than balms or ointments, which are too thick.

Look for the ingredients:

  • Sebo-regulators, as the cyanocobalamine (vitamin b12): it regulates the formation of lipids (sebum) in the sebaceous glands;

  • To exfoliating properties, drying and mattifying, to combat shiny skin;

  • Moisturizers : hyaluronic acid, squalane (olive), vegetable collagen, glycerol, rice protein, aloe vera or even allantoin are ideal.

The soothing face cream Grangettes Switzerland and its fluid texture is the ally of oily skin. It contains agents that regulate the sebum (like vitamin b12), as well as active ingredients moisturizers, including hyaluronic acid, vegetable squalane, Allantoin (comfrey) or even betaine (beet).

Tighten your pores with natural masks

Once a week, you can make a masque with natural ingredients, in order to tighten facial pores. The honey mask can be a good option: mix a tablespoon of honey, the juice of half a lemon and a drop of fine lavender essential oil. Apply the mixture to clean, dry face and leave for 15 minutes, then rinse with lukewarm water.

In order to absorb the excess sebum, the masks clay green are ideal. You can prepare it by mixing one tablespoon of green clay with two tablespoons of spring water. If your skin is prone to acne and you have pimples, you can add a drop of essential oil tea tree and a teaspoon of Honey, which promotes the healing of pimples.

Exfoliate your face once or twice a week

Exfoliate your face with an extra fine scrub to avoid micro-lesions, or a grain-free peel, such as our face purifying gel. For a exfoliation 100% natural, you can use a bag of green tea: open the tea bag and add a few drops of vegetable oil. Then massage your face using small circular movements before rinsing
